Hobart® AirForce® 40i Plasma Cutter 500576

The completely redesigned Hobart® AirForce™ 40i produces up to 40 amps of cutting power and operates on either 120 volt or 240 input. It weighs only 22 pounds, yet cuts up to 7/8 inch mild steel. The AirForce 40i comes complete with MVP™ (multi-voltage plug) technology which allows you to run off of standard 120 volt OR 240 volt input power. Voltage changeover is simple and requires no tools.

The AirForce 40i features the ergonomically designed XT40R plasma torch that boasts more flexible cables and longer plasma consumable life than previous models. The 40i requires compressed air delivery of at least 6.0 cfm @ 90 to 120 psi. It has a rated cutting capacity of 5/8 inch thick mild steel @ 60% duty cycle and a maximum cutting capacity on mild steel of 7/8 inch. Unit is compatible with engine-driven welders with at least 8 kW of generator power with a 240 volt receptacle.

Automatic gouging consumable detection - Adjusts gas pressure to optimize performance, eliminating the need for a manual regulator.

Compatible with engine-driven welders - Complete cutting capability when powered by an engine-driven welder/generator with a 240 V receptacle of 8 kW or more.

Hobart 5/3/1 industrial warranty - Five-year warranty on transformers, stabilizers and main rectifiers; three years on generators, PC boards and drive systems and one year on guns (MIG, plasma and TIG torches).
